Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Hindu Goddess Mata Adi Shakti, also known as Mahalakshmi/Matrika Goddess. The words “maa” and “mata” are commonly used in India for “mother”, and thus are often used in connection with Vaishno Devi.

Tour Plan

Day 01: Arrival Jammu – Katra (45kms; 01 hrs)

On arrival Jammu, transfer you to Katra check in to the hotel. Later proceed to Vaishno Devi by walk and Pony. Take a holi Darshan of Vaishno Devi. Come back to katra for overnight stay.

Day 02: Katra to Pahalgam

This morning after breakfast drives to Pahalgam 2440 Meters (Vale of Kashmir) on arrival check into your hotel. On the way visit Saffron field and Avantipur ruins, which is eleven hundred years old temple? Finally by the lunchtime you will reach Pahalgam, which is the most famous palace for Indian Film Industry. After lunch enjoy the nature charm of the valley.

Day 03: In Pahalgam (Sightseeing & Overnight stay):

After breakfast at the hotel, you have option to spend your day of sightseeing by driving to the picturesque Chandanwari and Betaab valley or Aru valley or ride by horseback across the wildlife sanctuary towards Baisaran meadows. Rest of the day will be at leisure for individual activities. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 04: Pahalgam to Srinagar, half day local sightseeing: ( 97 Km’s / 3- 4 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven back to Srinagar. In Srinagar we will do some half a day of local sightseeing that includes a visit to the famous Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar. Built in between a period of 14 years the two gardens are a heritage left behind by the erstwhile Mughals, whose taste for laying exquisite gardens was fascinating. With a backdrop of the sprawling Zabarwan Mountains, the gardens boast of green turfs, blooming flowers and cascading water fountains. We will explore the gardens and later drive back to the hotel. In the evening you can go for shopping around the local flea markets and also do window shopping. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 05: Rest day at Srinagar and local sightseeing as per time permits

Day 06: Srinagar – Sonamarg - Srinagar ( 87 km’s one way drive)

After breakfast we begin our drive to the majestic mountain resort of Sonamarg. The route towards Sonamarg takes us on a picturesque country side drive where we will come across rolling hills, green forests, clear water streams and blooming rice fields. We will zoom past the town of Kangan which handles all the local needs of this region. From Kangan, we will drive towards Mammar, famous for its trout farm and stopover for a warm cup of tea before we head towards Sonamarg. We will once again alight from our vehicles at the tourist spot of Gagangir. The spot is built in the middle of the river Sindh and looks like an island with snow glaciers covering one or the other spot. In Sonamarg we will take a 3 hour walk or horseback trip to the Thajwass glacier. After our return we will visit the small town market for some snacks or just pay a visit observing the local people going with their daily routine. We will drive back to Srinagar the hotel for our overnight stay.

Day 07: Sonamarg to Gulmarg: (140 km’s / 4-5 hrs drive)

After breakfast we will leave for another famous mountain resort. The resort is located on a high mountain plate, and is closely associated with some famous winter sports held every year. We will drive through rice fields and small towns and eventually drive uphill surrounded by thick pine forests to arrive at the bowl shaped open meadow of Gulmarg. Known locally by the name of Valley of Flowers, the resort is encircled by huge mountains, glistening with their snow capped peaks and lush forests. We will also board the Swiss styled Gondola that takes us to the top of the mountain and provides a rare sight of the valley. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 08: Gulmarg to Srinagar airport drop

After breakfast proceed to Srinagar.on arrival you will be transferred to Airport to board the flight for onward destination.

  • Guests can book the taxi/ ponies / gondolas at the particular place..
